9th Life - Hawaii is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 organization founded by Crystal Smith. Crystal has spent almost 20 years championing trap/neuter/release programs on Maui and through her efforts and beliefs thousands and thousands of cats have been spayed and neutered. She was the first to utilize trap/neuter/release programs at feral cat colonies she managed.
To continue these programs and to maintain the sanctuaries for cats that cannot safely be returned to their colonies, we need your assistance. Any employee of A & B Properties, Hawaiian Cane & Sugar, Kahului Trucking, East Maui Irrigation Co, Matson Navigation and A & B Wailea LLC can have their monetary donation to 9th Life Hawaii matched dollar for dollar by the A & B Foundation through their Matching Gift Program. A & B Foundation also has a program that donates $250.00 to the non-profit when their employee donates 25 hours of volunteer service to their favorite charity. Monetary Donations
Money makes the world go round, this is so true at 9th Life, and every little bit helps! We can also use Gift Cards for Costco and Wal-Mart where we purchase our cat food and kitty litter supplies. Also Home Depot or Lowes where we purchase our building supplies. All donations are tax deductible.
Building Materials and Land
Additional catteries are needed to shelter our cats. Lumber, roofing materials, tile and fencing is needed.
People with construction skills that can donate time to help build new catteries.
Foster & Adoption Homes
If you are willing to take in a kitty on a temporary basis to foster it, please contact us at 9thlifehawaii@earthlink.net.
Veterinary Services
We ask the Maui veterinarians to donate a small and reasonable amount of time to provide exams and health care for the 9th Life Kitties and to work with us in providing low cost spay/neuter services. If you wish to be involved, please contact us.
Gift Certificate Donations
9th Life Hawaii has been successfully auctioning gift certificates on ebay and because we are run solely by volunteers, the ENTIRE proceeds go directly to help Maui's kitties. The gift certificates can be from retail stores, activities, hotels, services, restaurants, sports events, airline tickets, theater tickets; You name it! We have even auctioned off gift certificates from a Feng Shui consultant. Many Maui business have contributed, however the sky is the limit as EBay is international. We can auction gift certificates from ANYWHERE on the planet. So, if you want to help homeless and abandoned cats. If you want to help the voiceless. If you want to be part of the solution to the terrible cat overpopulation that takes the lives off over 7,000 (their only crime is that they are homeless) cats a year on Maui, here is a great way to do it. In addition to helping the helpless, these ebay international auctions will bring great exposure and recognition for your business as well.
