Thanks to a grant received from Petsmart Charities, we have a fully equipped Spay/Neuter surgery room at the sanctuary. These photos show cats lined up for surgery as well as the actual surgery room where everybody was busy at work.
Cats Lined up for Surgery
We are now also providing free tattoos and microchips for $10.00 which is below cost. In the first two months of 2010, we returned 8 cats to their owners from our tattoo and microchip numbers. Having some form of identification is crucial to the success of getting your cat home, should he become lost. We recommend microchips for longevity as tattoos will fade over time. Most lost cats do not make it back home. Safeguard your cats life with identification.

9th Life also sterilized over 1,250 cats in 2009 and we would like to double or even triple that number in 2010. We need vets, ALL vets, but especially those that are experienced in pediatric, high volume clinics! Call us if you can help. If you are licensed on the mainland, we can explain how you can help us and how you would have tax benefits for traveling to Maui to sterilize cats. For vets in Hawaii, please call us so we can explain how we run our clinics. And we have accommodations for vets. Call (808) 572-3499 and leave a message.
